1 piece of good news.. heard dat the mega concert may be shown on tv during national day dat period... =D good!!! Wahahah..then maybe i can see my ou xiang and guo lao on tv!!! better still, closeup =D even if it's a few seconds oso can.. juz a glimpse i oso shuang.. anw guo lao one sure can see v long one cos got one song he's conducting the perc.. =D After yest's concert, me, hl and xy had the sudden urge to join perc...wahaha.. i wanna play timpani and mu qin, esp after seeing the 2 pro guys playing so well.. and i tink the perc ppl are so damn lucky to haf guo lao coaching them!!! perc is so fun.. Haizzz... it's juz so great to be in perc.. can play those nice rhythms in the songs.. can play as hiong as u like.. and yest's perc piece chao hao ting!! the rhythm all v nice.. i esp like the mu qin and timpani part. Haiz.. yest i was thinking IF i got to participate in tis mega concert, na4 you3 gai1 duo1 hao3 ah..haiz..that would mean a whole new circle of co frens, (maybe can even see my ou xiang), meeting ppl whu are as obsessed wif co as me.. i can see my long-time-no-see nhco instructors, can learn frm seetoh bao nan, can know more abt the sco ppl, can experience the grand huayue qi4 fen4, most imptly can gain an ultimate co experience dat i will nv ever forget.. BUT i cant.. all becos of a stupid mistake i made earlier tis yr!!!! and until today i still felt so gek even though the mega concert is over.. If guo lao's still teaching in nhco, if we are still sec 4s tis yr, we surely haf the chance to play one.. everytime when i heard the exnhco sa ppl are performing in the mega concert, i juz felt so damn jealous!! and to tink dat they actually pon most of the prac instead of treasuring them..yea i agree dat the concert's nt dat good due to the lack of coordination and ppl hun-ing down there.. but it's still vvv fun..I dun mind going to Mandai Camp playing under the hot scorching sun, rehearsing till late at night for the concert..I juz want to be part of the 2004 musicians.. I juz want to play the songs... HAIZ... =( Friday, July 30, 2004 Just came back from the mega concert.. well, cant say dat it's a v good concert lar..juz slightly above average.. and hl and xy felt cheated becos they tink the concert wasnt dat good afterall.. lolz.. but we tink the guo lao part realli makes our tics worth it.. The concert wasnt dat great afterall cos we can see dat alot of ppl are hun-ing (as in ppl anyhow playing), and it's damn obvious lor.. cos there are abt 2000 ppl playing down there.. so it's v easy to hun4, there are hundreds of hu( gaohu, erhu, zhonghu) , 40 to 50 liuqins( approximately), 5 sets of timpani, so u can imagine the grandness of the concert.. so we were like trying to spot the number of mistakes they have made.. lolz.. then the more we spot the more cheated we felt.. 1) the hu ppl are hun-ing.. cos their gong fa all diff directions one.. starting i tot maybe they haf diff sheng1 bu4.. if even diff sheng bu shld oso be one whole gp of ppl diff gong fa.. but then wad we saw was a few individuals diff gong fa, so can conclude dat they are hun-ing.. 2) got one song, the tan bo one.. got one part the ppl came in bu4 qi2.. it's damn obvious.. and not only is tis song lor, got some songs also.. 3) some perc ppl dun haf sense of rythmn.. can see the way they came in.. diff timing one.. and juz now we saw one mu qin gal (xylophone) hun-ing all the way thru.. cos she sway sway standing infront of a super pro mu qin guy.. so the contrast is there.. one played v well.. and she didnt realli hit the note lor, she juz use her sticks to touch the xylophone plates only.. then her actions v small, great contrast to the guy behind her whose actions are super big.. 4) worse is the tan bo yue.. i can hardly hear wad they were playing.. and there are actually alot of tan bo yue ppl.. but they cannot stand out.. hl felt dat it's redundant to haf the tby cos we could hardly hear them at all.. so disappointing.. 5) the whole concert lacks coordination.. got several parts cum in bu4 qi2.. but cant blame them lar cos the conductor standing at the podium looks so tiny.. can hardly see wad's they are conducting.. 6) yin1 zhun3.. erm tink got some part they bu zhun, when starting they are tuning i tink, when sheng give the a.. but maybe i hear wrongly lar cos im quite tone-deaf one.. lolz.. All the songs they played are v singapore.. combinations of count on me, s'pore, we are s'pore, rasa sayang blah blah.. and some adapted huayue pieces.. the thing made me most sian diao was they asked us to shout majulah singapura or wadever it was.. tink the piece i like most is the one wif perc.. the song is juz trying to depict the 4 diff races in singapore lar.. but i like dat the most cos it's the most hiong, most energetic ( though nt all players are), most shiok piece, can realli feel the impact.. and guo lao shi rocks =D then we were juz sitting right behind the perc, so can see him v clearly.. wahaha.. but i hate the one dat has integrated electronic sounds into the song.. sux.. so nan ting.. but becos the song only haf the sco ppl playing, so still quite alright, but sounds v techno to me and i dun like it at all.. Spot quite a no. of the sco ppl, i spot peng lao, lin lao, yujia blah blah admist the sea of reds..but damn i didnt spot my ou xiang.. wad the hell.. i came to tis concert harbouring the hope of looking at my ou xiang.. and damn cant spot him cos i was facing the backs of the players, how to spot... i dont even noe wad instru he plays..i tot is gao yin sheng but xy told me is dizi.. sian diao.. haiz.. and xy tot my ou xiang is guo lao shi.. but he's my new found ou xiang lar..lolz..nvm.. if got fate one day will surely find him one.. The concert took a long time to start becos they were giving out tokens of appreciation to all the participating organisations and schs..and i noticed nan hua is mentioned in the "special thanks" column..dunoe y oso, maybe becos dat dae guo lao shi took some drums frm nhco.. so we waited v long..sian.. and then they called lee hsien loong to start the concert..so damn funni, he used the conductor baton to wave..then dat's tis huge wave of white light spreading across the centre stage.. haha.. so harrypotter.. as if he's using a wand to cast the patronum charm..lolz.. but actually is guo lao shi giving him instructions at the other end of the stage lar... Yea so overall the concert was soso lar.. nt dat bad lar.. juz personally feel dat they are putting up a show only.. to show dat alot of ppl can play huayue.. tis concert can only see but nt hear.. if wanna hear a good concert one haf to go to those professional co concerts.. mainly becos the proportion is far too out liao.. yah lar the grandness is there but the quality of the music is nt there..so damn noisy and so hard to coordinate.. i mean a normal orchestra wif 80 ppl alreadi so hard to coordinate liao, nt to say 2000 ppl in tis mega concert.. so confirm produce alot of za2 yin1 and alot of ppl happily hun-ing down there..somemore the dist apart so great.. the sound haf to travel longer dist then nt nice liao.. erm but i still dun mind going tonite lar.. but it will be much more greater if i can get to perform.. haiz.. when the players walk in right, i haf the sudden urge to run down to the stage and play wif them.. haiz.. i am so jealous!!! Im back home now...Wahahaha.. 4 hrs left to the NDP mega concert..=D =D =D =D =D Thursday, July 29, 2004 Wahahaha..im so excited abt tml.. It's the NDP mega concert!!! Waited for almost 3 weeks for tis liao... Hope it will be a great concert.. gonna bring camera to take photos.. Wednesday, July 28, 2004 Haiz..sian.. dont even feel like going to sch tml.. esp tml all the year ones haf to go down to national stadium to cheer for the national heats.. duhz.. confirm got alot of ppl ponning one.. so tired everydae and so many hw to pia.. spa on thurs and econs mcq test on fri.. haiz... hope end of the week faster come.. realli need a breather..cant wait for the mega concert to come on fri.. cant wait for mentoring on sat too.. can go there tok crap wif my frens.. Haiz.. felt like getting a card or sth for my liuqin senior.. but i tink i most prob only getting for the gal.. the 2 guys see first lar.. but if i give the gal but nv give the guys like v wad.. anw i oso nt v close wif the 2 guys..juz dat we same instru only.. and both of them everytime bully me one by saboing me to sit outside.. duhz.. my liuqin senior v good one..she's one of the nicest senior in njco liao.. tink she sometimes know dat i pon co.. but she didnt cai1 cuan1 wo.. lolz.. then everytime she sent me those "have a nice day", "good luck"msg or wadever lar.. tell me where is co prac, wad time is co prac blah blah esp during the first month when im like a lost sheep.. tis seems like small gestures to others but i appreciated alot lar.. everytime im nt cuming for co i tell her can liao, though sometimes nt sure whether she got help me pass on the msg or nt..lolz.. then she everytime see me she will say hello to me.. like yest i was climbing up the stairs then she saw me.. she came up to say hello to me.. :D Haiz... shall miss her and the rest of the seniors liao.. co gonna get even more boring without them.. Took cab to rush to SCH.. walao..so damn ex.. cost me almost 10 bucks.. the most sway thing was dat i have to bump right into t** when i arrived.. lucky he didnt scold me, he asked me to faster go to the backstage.. the prob is i dunoe how to go to the backstage.. yea.. then i chen4 ji1 went to the second floor one.. cos i tot maybe is there.. lolz.. actually i purposely one.. cos i been there once, went to the rehearsal rm once during syf last yr.. then i sneak in .. saw the musician rest rm..haha.. if ppl caught me then i juz said i lost my way cant find the backstage..wahaha.. shld haf explore SCH more.. next time can sneak in to see syf.. Then later manage to find my way..haha.. the backstage was quite small.. keep knocking into other instrus.. then i forgot to take a photo of the backstage.. first time i've been there.. then i saw some writings on the whiteboard..if im nt wrong shld be sth to do wif the mega concert..lolz..saw the cargo lift too.. then my liuqin's string kept cuming off.. then haf to go to the vip rm to tune.. actually the vip rm is juz a super tiny rm.. then only haf enough space to let 1 or 2 ppl sit down on the floor..super squeezy.. worse thing is the door is opened inwards one..so everytime when someone cum in right.. my liuqin will go off again cos the door will knock against my liuqin..wad the hell, haf to tune all over again.. worse thing is the ppl didnt bothered to knock the door when they want to cum in..then i was in the rm to tune wif another pipa gal..she kept tuning but the note shown by the tuner still nt right..haha.. then i realise dat the major is diff.. she nv change it to c major, cos the tuner is set to f major..no wonder she kept tuning oso canot work.. lolz.. then everything was in a mess..natalie's liuqin pin1 came off.. so i lent her my instru instead cos i no need to play the song.. went ard asking ppl for super glue.. heng in the end she got it fixed back.. Damn.. i hun4 all the way thru.. partly becos i too nervous.. cos got so many audience.. almost full house.. then i nv prac enough.. somemore the liuqin kept slipping off cos the costume too silky le and the instru too light.. haiz.. and hwee li said the lq ppl kept looking down..that's true cos i nv look at zhu lin once at all.. the spotlights so damn bright.. my eyes cant take it.. but i tink overall was quite good.. my frens all said jun ma and tian shan v nice..haha.. i agree lar.. chang cheng nt bad i tink..dat's my most well-prepared song and i nv get to play it!!! chun tian got some part we abit luan.. tink is the first junma dat we played..abit off beat.. then i played damn bloody hell lan.. was hun-ing all the way..haiz.. Haha.. then quite alot of my frens came.. hweeli, xinyu, wanxuan, caili, huijing, lusi, choon hwee, bert, yuman... then saw alot of familiar faces, some unexpected ones... like rosemary, her fren tink is called min qi, xue zhen.. haha.. then hl sprained her leg i tink then she still cum..lolz.. v gan dong.. then lusi they all bought me flowers.. haha..didnt expect them to even cum in the first place..but walao they sat so far back..i haf to walk right up to the top then almost trip over by my damn skirt.. then the worst thing is they go shout my name.. wad the hell!!! heng they sat right at the back.. dat's y i only yin3 yin3 yue1 yue1 heard it.. then i tink some co ppl heard it on stage too..walao i was damn malu lor.. heng xy they all nv do the same thing.. then took some photos.. shld haf taken more wif xy they all but the interval too short.. 15 mins only.. wad the hell.. then took a photo wif the liuqin ppl.. haha.. seniors and juniors.. last time ee xuan, royston and george performing liao.. haiz.. gonna miss the seniors.. it's farewell. tis week it suddenly dawned on me that the seniors wont EVER be back there in prac, for us to rely on anymore.. and i tink the tan bo seniors are all quite nice lar, juz dat im nt v close wif them.. most of them are quite gao xiao ppl..lolz.. then the concert seems to end v fast.. tink becos i was there for only 2 hrs plus.. dunoe leh..felt v empty when the concert ended.. then i took the NDP mega concert postcard again..1.9cm thick..lolz.. my hse got alot liao i still take.. lolz.. looking forward to next fri~ Saturday, July 24, 2004 Yea..went for speech day on sat.. at the expense of missing the njco concert rehearsal at SCH.. Met pris and fongyu at jp.. went there to eat Mos Burger.. the burger was quite nice... then we gave fy her present.. she was quite shocked cos she didnt expect us to rem. i haf to act as if i was totally shocked to know dat today was her bdae when pris reminded me..haha.. the present i wrapped was v ugly.. out of shape one.. actually wanna wrap into a box shape.. but somehow it turned out to be trapezium shape..wahahha...next yr me and pris shall buy a kampong for her..wahahaha...Then we tok alot of crap.. fy and pris were complaining abt some of the ppl in their sch..quite funni lar..haha.. fy was telling stories abt cyb.. and i tink cyb realli v blunt.. disgusting person.. Went to UCC hall quite early.. ( university cultural centre) was rotting there.. then i saw gan lao.. pris tot he wanna tok to me then she asked me to go over to him.. but actually he was nt calling for me.. walao.. made me so damn malu.. then fy v excited.. she kept taking photos.. she wore the sa blazer and took ALOT of photos.. v v v funni.. then the way she smiled so gao xiao.. i told her to enlarge one photo then frame it and hang in inside her hse..wahahha..so we juz took photos wif her to yin4 cou2 her.. wahahah.. the photos next time i developed cum out only got pris, fy, me..lolz.. Went to register and saw alot of old classmates.. was quite happy dat dae.. they told us dat we would recieve our prizes in groups of 6 ppl.. then v qiao3.. my group is all 4/4 ppl.. songkiu, heow hui, pris, fy, me and wen wei.. and its most sway of me to sit beside wenwei..haha.. but pris is even worse cos hh was yaking away.. she got so damn irritated..wahaha.. ww was damn gao xiao.. he dunoe how to wear a tie.. the tie he made was so damn short and the knot was so damn huge.. his attire was v messy..lolz.. worse thing is he nv wear black leather shoes.. he go and wear brown ones instead.. he said his shoes v smooth one, even smoother than his face.. then he kept touching the shoes until v shuang..walao..me and fy laugh until want to explode liao.. wahaha.. then the whole ceremony i haf to endure ww.. he kept sniggering.. told us some super lame jokes dat made me and fy so sian diao.. lolz.. When the GOH arrived we had to stand up to sing the nan hua sch song.. then all of us were like laughing away.. haha..cos we long time nv sing liao..some even forgot the lyrics but heng i can still sort of rem it...lolz..then the prize giving ceremony was in a total mess.. the names were nt called out in the right order.. some names nt called while some called wrong person.. lolz..everyone was like laughing away.. but heng until my group all the names were called out in the right order.. they took a group photo for us wif the prize presenter.. too bad sk wasnt in our gp le cos somehow the grouping became v luan half way thru.. our gp ended up hafing another guy frm another class.. but nvm lar.. Got a 30 bucks book voucher.. popular one..haiz.. ok lar..better than nothing, was expecting borders one.. then got a cert too.. oh yah hui jing i can smell ur scent when i opened the envelope to see the cert..lolz.. cos she's the one whu handled my cert.. saw some of my nhco juniors..haha.. they were sitting in the audience seats..lolz.. saw chen rong, he's top in standard..clever boy.. went to tok to him.. Sian..wanna stay longer but i cant..got to rush to SCH.. fy tried to phsyco me to stay longer cos she said she gonna miss me..wahahah.. too bad i cant..haiz.. nvm lar..next sat mentoring can see her and pris again..yea~ Yea, today nv fell asleep.. so i got to listen to the ufm 1003 guo lao shi intervew... Today afternoon before co prac i was listening to radio then they was playing a small segment of the interview.. gls voice sounds a bit weird.. anw.. they were playing some v qi1 liang2 background music.. tink to bring out his tough time he had when he was pursuing his passion for music.. then the way he said ar.. i listen liao oso felt abit gan dong Then at night i managed to stay awake.. they played long teng..v nice.. then gls said he dun realli like to be a conductor.. he preferred to be a performer.. cos every time when the concert is over, he felt abit shi1 luo4.. then he said tis few yrs he's trying to mo1 suo3 ways to teach huayue.. like telling some jokes during dazu to arouse our interest for huayue.. and the jokes he said is super lame.. sometime i cant even be bothered to laugh and the entire co only cyb laugh..everytime up to this tactics one.. but i tink quite effective lar becos dazu v fun, everytime full of laughter..and becos of tis i always look forward to gls's dazu.. Yea.. looking forward to next fri mega concert.. =D Friday, July 23, 2004 Today is the last co prac we had before tml's concert..Haiz..dunoe lar.. still cant realli play.. gonna hun tml liao.. anw.. feel kinda sad today cos is the last dazu i had wif my liuqin seniors.. then next time cant see them liao and i will be all alone.. dat's when i will start to ahem ahem liao.. haiz.. tink some of them oso felt quite sad lar.. can understand how they felt lar cos last yr i oso like dat.. damn depressed.. but i tink last yr i felt hundred times worse than today.. the realisation of leaving nhco soon started sinking in months before i gonna step down but i only started feeling sad these few daes when the thought of seniors leaving dawned on me.. but i tink i will get over it quite fast lar, nt like the nhco one.. until now i still feel abit shi1 luo4 whenever i tink of nhco.. Anw todae co prac was quite ok lar.. dun haf technical rehearsal..heng.. and zhu lin was damn sui bian lor.. one song play a few times can liao.. so damn slack.. i was practising chun tian right in the middle of dazu and he didnt even ask me to go out lian4 myself and dun disturb the others.. i oso lazy to walk out lar.. anw like dat walk out abruptly oso v rude.. then todae i got t0 hear jin shi yi lao shi frm sco (suona one) play..waaaa.. he damn lihai... he played until damn well and he can even use his mouth to make the suona sound!! without blowing the suona! Yea.. tml got quite a no. of my frens cuming.. xinyu, hweeli, caili, wan xuan, huijing, lusi, choon hwee, yuman, bert..heez.. Haiz..im in a dilemma now.. i want to attend the nh speech day yet i wanna be on time for the njco concert cos i wanna play chang cheng and i wanna go look for my frens!!! the prob is chang cheng is before the sectional songs.. if i can make it for chang cheng.. t** cfm want me to play the sectional songs one.. wad the hell..and i nv realli prac for sectional ones.. haiz.. the songs so damn nan ting.. WAD THE HELL!!! why my bro nv wake me up... stupid!!!!! how.. actually thurs and fri oso haf one, but its at 11.45pm.. im at sch so cant listen.. haiz..hope tml got repeat again... by hook or by crook i oso muz get a hand on the interview!!! Hmmm.. tink i like ufm 1003 more and more..cos its the official radio station for the mega concert..lolz.. juz now happen to listen to interview.. They interviewed some of the performers.. some ufm 1003 deejay and tis perc guy..the perc super pro one.. he's frm syco and he's called xin yuan.. mixed blood one.. haha, he tok alot of crap and oso got mention abt guo lao shi.. hope they will interview some other syco ppl next time.. haiz.. dunoe tml can listen or nt cos got co until v late.. Haiz.. i wanna learn pipa.. pipa v v v v v v v nice.. but v heavy.. actually last time i was pipa when i was sec 1.. haha.. for 3 weeks i tink then i changed to liuqin liao cos pipa too heavy.. lolz.. The rest of the tan bo yue ppl were practising at the front.. then my senior heard me play and she sent me a msg said i play v well... then i was quite shocked becos firstly she can hear wad i play meh? Secondly, i realli played like shit leh.. dunoe leh.. my skill is bloody lan4.. maybe becos the hall is enclosed area... so can hear v clearly.. if my lq senior can hear that means the rest of the tby and the instructor oso can hear..walao.. i shouldnt haf played so loud.. so damn malu..haiz..then she said liuqin next time kao4 me le..then i was like huh?? kao4 me? if kao me njco confirm kua3..wahahahah..anw next time im gonna ahem ahem more often liao.. lolz.. so cannot kao me.. Die man.. no more 10 bucks tics le.. according to the co ppl they said the tics all sold out liao!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shit man.. i nv book tics for hui jing and her sis cos i tot she dat time said her sis gonna get frm some other ppl frm njco.. haiz... Wednesday, July 21, 2004 Im so damn tired.. co 9.15pm then end..take cab home... too tired to even take a bus home le..today co prac is so damn boring.. first time i slept during da zu.. as usual, zhu lin went thru all the co songs..after dat is technical rehearsal and it sux.. apparently t** was angry wif me for nt being able to attend the first half of the concert.. the prob is he tot i nv told him.. but i haf already told him one week ago dat im not able to cum liao..cos i nt sure whether i can make it on time or nt..even if i reach SCH on time.. i still need to tune my instru, change my costume..confirm everything will be in a rush.. most imptly, i dun even noe the sequence for the prize-giving.. somemore i haf to decide whether im going to the first half a week ago cos the stage manager need to settle the number of chairs needed.. so its better for me to skip the first half so dat i can prepare myself well.. then when i explained to him last week, he sort of hinting to me to skip the speech day by asking me to "set my priorities".. i mean tis one is nt his speech day of course he can easily said dun go lar.. wad the hell.. he didnt said tis to me face to face lar.. he asked my senior why i wasnt at my place for the technical rehearsal for the first half.. haiz.. dunoe lar.. then i told my seniors i told him liao.. and one of them even saw me telling him last week.. haiz.. tink t** got a short-termed memory.. luckily my seniors support me lar.. they said if t** dared to question me.. i juz rebut back can liao.. tink i wont rebut him back..i will most prob slap him right into his face..wahahaha.. wad the hell.. er xin de nan ren.. and surprisingly, dao xx didnt scold me for skipping the first half of the concert.. phew.. only perform one song which is chun tian ( but got 5 movements, so actually is 5 songs), then i wait until 9pm then is chun tian.. wait until i wanna slp liao.. shld call dong tian instead, wait until i wanna wither and die liao.. haizz.. i wanna play chang cheng... but im gonna miss it cos it's first half.. haiz.. co concert coming in 3 daes' time and i still cant play tian shan, esp the last page.. i shld haf find the notes earlier so dat i can get used to the fingerings.. haiz.. im in a shitty state now.. wad the hell...how?? die liao die liao die liao great, after the co concert got 1 or 2 weeks break.. only.. so niao.. shld gif 1 month..anw, i shall pon co on a regular basis liao.. lolz.. and there's tis co senior i v pei fu.. she has been ponning co right frm the beginning of the yr until now.. but she got appear once in a while, but now quite often cos concert cuming.. hmm..shall learn frm her next time..wahaha.. then she v funni, everytime sneak off and seldom cum for xiao zu.. best.. Haiz..as usual..it was a slacking day cos our classrm haf more mentors than mentees..lolz.. so me and fongyu were damn free...haha..didnt do much lar.. mainly juz slack ard only... then went canteen to buy food..the fried fish damn nice..haha..and i bought the grass jelly drink.. wad the hell.. nj sell 80 cents and nh only sell 50cents.. walao..cheat my $.. nt dat im giam abt the 30 cents but tis goes to show dat nj is indeed a money-sucker sch...wahahaha.. Saturday, July 10, 2004 Yea..last sat went to another sco concert wif wan xuan..haha..the last one I went was the syco one and it was only 3 weeks ago..later end of tis month going to the mega concert..yippee~~I love co concerts becos huayue rocks!! =D Dat dae we went too early liao cos when we reached SCH, it was still quite empty early. So we went to look at the postcards and the brochures..then we saw tis quan2 min3 gong4 yue4 postcards..haha..then got the pipa yu jia and guo lao shi..wahaha..the pose so damn funni..next time muz rem to show to ruiwen they all..cant stop laughing..then when we were walking along the pavement that led to SCH, I saw zhang bin, the nan hua erhu instructor chatting wif his frens at the killiney kopitiam..i faster point to wx then she faster siam..wahaha..after dat we saw guo lao shi but tis time round was my turn to siam..lolz..wx faster pulled me back cos I was trying to run up the stairs.. wahaha..so damn gao xiao.. guo lao shi saw us then he walked straight to us..he still rems us lar but I tink he rem wx more..he thought she still sec 4..lolz..he told us dat actually he was going to haf lunch wif us last week and it was suggested by caili..but how cum we didn’t know ar??
